Nick and Kimber Christensen, nice to meet you. Together we design, make, package and sell a fine little line of organic wooden toys. We do this all from our home with two bright young children.
DO YOU HAVE EMPLOYEES?
Jason is our shop foreman full time, Abby ships orders full time, Misty does most customer service and wholesale accounts part time from home, Mitch sands and waxes toys part time and Suzanne helps out when things get crazy part time.
WHERE DO YOU PLANT TREES?
For each toy we sell, we donate enough to plant one tree through Trees for the Future. We’ve already helped to plant over 20,000 trees. It’s a wonderful program that we are excited to contribute to:

IN WHAT OTHER WAYS ARE YOU A “GREEN BUSINESS”?
+ The wood used for our toys is FSC Certified hardwood.
+ We make and use a local beeswax and organic jojoba oil finish to bring out the natural beauty of the woods. Our teethers are left bare.
+ All the paper products and packaging Little Sapling Toys uses is recycled and recyclable.
+ Web hosting from HostPapa is powered by 100% renewable energy sources.
+ We participate in our local green power program to offset our energy usage.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO COLOR YOUR TOYS?
We use wood; no stain, dye or paint. We use Maple (light), Cherry (red) and Walnut (brown) with a light beeswax and organic jojoba oil finish to bring out the beauty and contrast of the woods.
DO YOUR TOYS SPLINTER?
We use solid hardwoods that do not splinter when finished properly. If you have any problems with your toys, please contact us immediately.
CAN I GET MY TOYS WITHOUT YOUR FINISH?
Absolutely, note that you want an unfinished toy when you check out and that’s what you’ll get.
DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?
Goods shipped to a Wisconsin address are subject to a 5% sales tax applied through PayPal.
HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?
We have a $5.95 flat rate shipping charge. This means that orders within the US ship for $5.95, big or small.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
We are currently shipping orders 1-2 business days from cleared payment via PayPal.
WHAT SHIPPING SERVICE DO YOU USE?
USPS First Class (for small items), Parcel (for large items) and Priority with delivery confirmation (for everything else). USA customers will receive an automated email from PayPal with USPS tracking information when we purchase the postage.
WHAT ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING?
Let’s face it, international shipping can be expensive and take a long time. We ship international orders using USPS First Class International. This service does not offer tracking information and the packages can definitely take their time arriving. We ship everything right away, so please keep this in mind while you are waiting.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
We stand behind our products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply send your item back within five days of receipt for a full refund. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
All manufacturer defects will be replaced regardless of when it was purchased.
